The Rising

Estuve escuchando esta gran canción de Bruce Springsteen en su Storytellers, me llamó la atención como iba cantando la cancion por partes e iba pensando en lo primero que le venia a la mente, como cuando dice "spirits above and behind me" y le recuerda a gente que jugó un papel muy importante en su vida y ahora ya fallecieron. Dice algo con lo que me sentí muy identificado, a mi que me gusta escribir: "Cuando escribes las canciones no te pones a pensar en todo su significado, todo lo que viene detras de esas letas, pero lo vas entendiendo porque lo estas sintiendo" En fin, les dejo la letra de esta canción y a ver si compran su disco, yo voy a tratar de conseguirlo este fin de semana.

Por cierto, Axl Rose sigue vivo!! Y despues de 10 años de grabar su disco Chinese Democracy apenas se colaron varias canciones por internet, se llaman "Catcher in the Rye" que bien podría ser una combinación entre los Beatles, Bryan May (guitarrista de Queen) y uno que otro sonido de guitarra psicodélica de los 60´s o 70´s. Dicen que se trata sobre el asesino de John Lennon ya que el estuvo leyendo el libro Catcher in the Rye antes de matar al buen John, tal vez por eso en una parte de la canción dice algo como "Everytime I see you I wish I had a gun"

Otra cancion se llama IRS que no esta tan mal pero no es nada del otro mundo. De las mejores es Better y There was a Time, excelentes canciones, me recuerdan a la rola de Estranged ya que tienen un sonido muy fresco y una letra que no tiene madre!! Hay rumores que Axl y su nueva banda, los nuevos Guns N Roses se presentarán en varios paises europeos en junio/julio, incluso para el gran festival "Rock in Lisboa", que es algo asi como el ya desaparecido "Rock in Rio" Ojala que no tarden mucho en sacar un sencillo, creo o quiero creer que esto es solo cuestion de tiempo, pero en el universo de Guns N Roses... uno nunca sabe..!!
